Fox News contributor and former deputy white House Chief of Staff to George W Bush Karl Rove has stated that he believes that Joe Biden has become a “ruthless, out-of-control demagogue”, arguing that Joe was undermining the confidence in the American people, and that he was wrong. Joe Biden told the Daily Show that “I am absolutely convinced they [the military] will escort him from the White House with great dispatch”. Karl Rove brought up John McCain as an example about how Joe should act, with how he simply said that Obama was an American whom he disagreed with, rather than saying he was an Arab.
Just as a reminder, Michael Cohen was one of the most vocal about this issue when he did his testimony to the House Oversight Committee, so, Joe Biden is not the first one that has expressed this concern.
Rudy Guliani said that he reviewed the tapes from Michael Cohen’s testimony and he said that Michael Cohen was a ‘pathological liar’ with regards to Cohen’s testimony on Russia, that his testimony proved absolutely none of his actions. Keep in mind that Rudy Giuliani is Trump’s personal lawyer. He said that none of the meetings that Cohen said that occurred took place. Sam Nunberg, a former Trump campaign aid said that he also sides with Trump over Cohen. He would even side with Don JR, and doesn’t like the fact that Michael Cohen taped the conversations. At one point, Giuliani said that he thought of Cohen as “an honest, honorable lawyer”, now, he says that he’s a liar.
There’s a piece for the Sacramento Bee, “Could Donald Trump really ‘cancel’ the 2020 presidential election? Yes, and here’s how”, that details the steps in which Trump could actually cancel the election?. The Constitution gives the power of the election to the states, not the people. Popular voting wasn’t added until 1824 to the US constitutions, and even then, only 18 states choose popular votes, 6 states are from by the state legislature. Trump could create a state of emergency to hold an election by the states, and states could just send Trump people. This is one way which this could actually happen– so, it’s not fair to absolutely say that there’s no way that it would happen, it would be nice, if Karl Rove is right and we have nothing to worry about, but, given Trump’s history of anti-Democratic statements, as I’ve posted about before, it’s understandable why people are worried about this particular issue. This piece is not saying whether Trump will do anything one way or the other, but, just simply reporting the facts, and reporting what has been said about this particular issue.
