Trump recently said that Caracas, one of the most violent cities in the world behind two cities in Mexico, in an interview with Aiden Ross, declared that it was safer than most U.S cities. St. Louis is one of the three top U.S cities that is not very safe followed by Baltimore, MD at 23, and Detroit, MI at 46. Trump claimed that Mexico and the Democratic Republic of Congo were releasing citizens into the US, he also claimed that Venezuela was releasing their criminal elements into the US which is why they were safer.
Donald Trump arguing the world was safer under him
Short of calling Maduro out by name, Trump certainly has a habit of praising dictators. We’ve just gotten so used to it that when it happens, it’s impossible to report on every single thing that Trump says because Trump says so many things, including many falsehoods, trying to put the focus on him, while trying to argue that the world was safer under him even though he arguably got the United States to closer conflict with Iran when he murdered one of their top generals in a drone strike right before the 2020 election.
Trump seems to rally around a coalition of autocrats including Al-Sisi of Egypt, Vladimir Putin of Russia, and Victor Orban of Hungary. Victor Orban is weirdly spotlighted at the CPAC conference where American conservatives state what their agenda is, an agenda which the Kamala Harris/Tim Walz ticket is trying to bill as weird
. Meanwhile, as Joe Scarabrough has talked about as early as August 6th, 2024, President Joe Biden has been in the business of making allies with our more European counterparts, while the United States continues to be frustrated with Israel, for not heeding advice about not expanding the war.
The Great Replacement Theory
A note to our readers, the Newsweek article and some mainstream media publications failed to go into the idea that Trump’s rhetoric on immigration is related to the great replacement theory, the idea that other countries are sending their criminals to us to weaken or dilute our population strength. It’s a very right wing view of immigration that seems to have become mainstream and even if Trump isn’t outwardly saying it, Trump surrogates like Tucker Carlson are.
